So I restart all devices a hundred times and set up the NAS from Fritz and QNAP again, read 1000 times the QNAP Time Machine tutorial, I exchanged USB sticks, hard drives and network cables and finally installed MacOS Ventura on the iMac. there can only be three reasons: the Mac, the NAS or the router. And because in the meantime I have been able to identify the sources of error by importing the FritzBox laboratory version 7.39 multiplied, troubleshooting was a real joy. Anything remotely related to SMB was extremely rough, but not so rough as to be obvious. None of that: no Time Machine on SMB, no synchronization of any folders or other gimmicks of the NAS. The 65 gigabytes were then apparently too much for the really fast Samsung USB stick on the port of the FritzBox: the connection kept dropping, sometimes the finder crashed. I've only rarely done it so far: I had the iCloud for all exchange purposes and in rare cases I copied one or the other file to the Fritz-NAS for the sake of speed.
